Music is an important and integral part of MVUUF.
The music performed at MVUUF is rich and varied every Sunday morning and at special events.
Adult Choir

Childrens Choir
All students in grades 1-6 in the MVUUF Religious Education program are welcome to participate in the Youth Choir. You don't need to have any experience singing, you don't need to be able to read music. The only requirement is a desire to sing and a willingness to attend rehearsals! Join us and help us make joyful and fun music together! Contact Tom Ehlinger, Youth Choir Director. Womens Chorale
If you have a good sense of rhythm, a blending voice, and an interest in being part of a group to sing show tunes, talk to Sonja Johnston or just show up at a rehearsal. Rehearsal Schedule2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, 10:30 AM.
Other Opportunities to Participate in Fellowship Music
Music SundaysThere are two Sundays each year when the Sunday morning service consists of musical performances by vocal and instrumental soloists and small groups in the Fellowship (see Sunday Services).
These Sundays feature great music, some laughs, and a few surprises.

Other OccasionsMusicians from the congregation participate in The Big Event as well as provide music for Sunday morning services and other occasions throughout the year.

Sonja Johnston was the Minnesota Federation of Music Teachers Adult Composer Event 2006 Winner for her setting of Rev. John Cummins' poem "The Earth Is One". She received the prestigious Virginia Kendrick Scholarship, and was asked to perform her piece at the Spring 2007 MFMC State Board Meeting.
