PROJECT HOMELESS CONNECT: Volunteers Needed (1400 of them)
December 7, 2009, : 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Minneapolis Convention Center
Two times a year Project Homeless Connect brings together homeless persons and connects them with housing, dentists, lawyers, optometrists, medical help, jobs counseling and other services that they could need. Volunteers stay with a person or family until they have gone to all the stations they need. You are their hosts, and they your guests. It is a powerful to experience so many homeless persons under one roof. If you ever doubted that there was a need before you volunteered, at the end of the day your doubts are blown away.

A 90 minute training session is required of first time volunteers and 5 of these are held throughtout the area at various times before December 7. (See list on social justice counter downstairs).

If you would like to volunteer please sign the volunteer sheet on the social justice counter downstairs and go to Project Homeless Connect  to sign up online. If you are not online, indicate this on the sign up sheet and the social justice committee will sign you up. Indicate the training session you choose to go to. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
