Upcoming Events at Church
Songs to Warm the Heart, an MVUUF concert of show tunes, will be performed at the Fellowship on February 12th at 4:00 p.m. If you would like to participate, speak to Sonja Johnston, Minister of Music. And be sure to mark your calendars to attend.

Writer Jon Odell, our January 15 guest speaker, invites our congregation to join him for the launching of his newest book, The Healing. It will take place at 7:30 on March 1 at Magers and Quinn, Lake and Hennepin in Minneapolis.

Opportunities to Help
- Know a fabric artist? Are you one yourself? The Aesthetics Committee is planning an exhibit of quilts, samplers, wall hangings, and such. Contact Karen Olson for more information.
- The religious education program needs people to teach and work in the nursery. Please seriously consider helping out this spring from March 4 – May 20, 2012. If we get several people to work in the nursery, then you could volunteer just 3 Sundays. For more information, contact Jan Fitzgerald, Director of Religious Education. Thanks!
- Did you make a New Year's resolution to give back to the community? Consider volunteering for VEAP. For more information, check out the website at www.veapvolunteers.org/volunteer.
- Please remember VEAP on your next trip to the grocery store. Their most needed foods are tuna, rice, canned chicken, dry pinto and black beans, peanut butter, flour, sugar, canned fruit, canned ravioli and 100% juices. Thanks to all who donated more than 50 pounds of food in January!
- Ushering and Greeting – Easy but important Sunday morning jobs that can be done individually or as a family. Job descriptions and signup sheets are on the downstairs hall counter. Sign up to do each job at least once this year (or more if you really enjoy them). This is a also a good way to become more familiar with each other.
